Last update:
The Maximum Daily Loss is the maximum amount your account is allowed to lose during a single trading day.
This rule is monitored in real time and includes both:
Closed losses
Floating losses from open positions
If your account falls below the allowed threshold at any moment during the day, the rule is considered breached immediately, even if the account later recovers.
How It Is Calculated
The Maximum Daily Loss depends on the account model.
One-Step
Maximum Daily Loss: 4%
Two-Steps
Maximum Daily Loss: 4%
Instant
Maximum Daily Loss: 3%
This limit is calculated based on the initial account balance.
Example
One-Step Account Example
Initial balance: 100,000 USD
Maximum Daily Loss: 4%
Maximum daily loss allowed: 4,000 USD
If at any point during the day your balance or equity drops below 96,000 USD, the rule is breached.
Two-Steps Account Example
Initial balance: 100,000 USD
Maximum Daily Loss: 4%
Maximum daily loss allowed: 4,000 USD
If at any point during the day your balance or equity drops below 96,000 USD, the rule is breached.
Instant Account Example
Initial balance: 50,000 USD
Maximum Daily Loss: 3%
Maximum daily loss allowed: 1,500 USD
If at any point during the day your balance or equity drops below 48,500 USD, the rule is breached.
Key Points
It is monitored continuously throughout the day
It includes both closed and floating losses
It must be respected at all times
A breach is triggered immediately when the limit is exceeded
A later recovery does not reverse the violation
